When Night Falls Review
Harlequin books covers all the romance genres and different customer bases. For the religious or clean media customer base they have their Steeple Hill Division which does the Love Inspired, Love Inspired Suspense, and Love Inspired Historical harlequin romances. "Night Falls" is a Love Inspired Suspense so don't expect this thriller suspense to have rated R level violence and gore. Don't expect this romance to have explicit rated X level erotica scenes. Also expect that faith, hope, forgiveness, or other religious terminology might be in an conversation somewhere in the book. If you like your romance more steamy or your thriller violence above PG 13 level then I have fairly warned you and stopped you from getting this. If you are this cleaner media customer base like me then don't hesitate to download this. Now other helpful information and to help in your decision. Warning this is a prequel short story which is slightly less than half the chapters of a regular Harlequin book. "Night Falls" is the prequel background novella to What Sarah Saw: Without a Trace, Book 1 (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #132) which is the first book in the "Without A Trace Series" by different authors which include: Framed!: Without a Trace, Book 2 (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #136), Cold Case Murder (Without a Trace, Book 3), A Cloud of Suspicion: Without a Trace, Book 4 (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #144), Deadly Competition (Without a Trace, Book 5), and Her Last Chance (Without a Trace Series, Book 6) (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #152). What Sarah Saw: Without a Trace, Book 1 (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #132) mentions how (spoiler warning *stop*) Sam and Jocelyn were once together before romantically in the past. (Spoiler warning *stop*) "Night Falls" is the prequel that explains how they got romantically together that first time and various other background history. Was it good? I enjoyed it and it made me interested in buying What Sarah Saw: Without a Trace, Book 1 (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #132) which is why they probably offered it free in the first place.

Too Short even for a short story - LUV2READ -
I was pleased in the beginning because I thought I was going to have a suspensful read, but it quickly changes over to religion and love. I was looking for thrilling...It is way too short even for a short story.
I didn't expect the lecture - Christina H. Harden - Largo, FL
I'm not one to frown about someone's beliefs but there was no need to throw God into this! This story could have been bearable if the writer would have left off the bible lecture. I would suggest a pass on this freebie!
